In numerous interactions with “small and medium enterprises (SMEs)”, we noticed that their general perception is that “Going Green” requires them to expend more resources and time. And in spite of growing interest to incorporate sustainable development practices, many SMEs are still under the impression that adopting sustainable development practices will be a cost burden. As a result, although many SMEs have started adopting some form of green measures as part of their operations, many of them still adopt a wait-and-see attitude before taking the green step forward.
